The landowners of No. 310 Ewingsdale Road, Byron Bay are preparing to lodge a Development Application with Byron Shire Council to redevelop their site with town houses. The site forms parts of the West Byron Urban Release area.

A concept has been advanced comprising:

  • Demolition of existing structures
  • Vegetation clearing
  • Construction of 20x townhouses
  • Basement car parking
  • Associated earthworks
  • Compensatory planting along the site’s frontage to Ewingsdale Road

Planit Consulting is facilitating a pre-lodgement community consultation process regarding the project, and we invite you to participate.

From 9 November – 5 December 2022, we invite you to:

  • review project material prepared to-date,
  • discuss queries with professional staff, and
  • submit your feedback.

The outcomes of this consultation process will be considered to inform the development proposal and ongoing impact analysis. The final proposal will then be submitted to Council for formal assessment via a Development Application (DA). A report surmising this consultation process and the feedback received will be included within the material submitted to Council for assessment. Of note, additional community consultation will also be undertaken by Council during their assessment of the DA.

We have allocated a dedicated ‘Drop-In Project Enquiry & Feedback’ session where the applicant will be available to discuss the project in person and record your comments. This session is planned to be held at Marvell Hall – 37 Marvell Street, Byron Bay on 24 November. Please note there is no formal presentation. Registered parties can attend the session anytime between 2pm to 5:30pm.
