Pacific Cove residential estate

Planit was appointed to provide design and construction management services for the landscape works required for the Pacific Cove Estate in Pimpama.

Pacific Cove Estate is QM Properties’ master-planned community in the heart of the northern Gold Coast’s growth corridor.

The 500+ lot community is surrounded by 10 hectares of environmental corridor.

Government studies had found that koala numbers had fallen 43 per cent in Queensland since 1990 which led to the approval process requiring detailed studies of koala numbers in the area and design approaches to protect the animals.

Design issues associated with the project included fauna protection, vegetation rehabilitation, reducing long term maintenance, project budgets and timeframes for implementation.

Planit’s environmental and landscape architecture project role involved design and management of streetscapes, large recreational parks, walking trails, feature development entry statements, water sensitive urban design, fauna crossings and environmental protection. The design and delivery of these features has created a conducive and sustainable living environment at Pacific Cove Estate.
