A new ALDI store at Highfields just north of Toowoomba will open its doors to the public this Saturday, December 12, thanks to help from Planit. The Highfields area is one of the fastest growing regions within the Darling Downs region, and the ALDI development joins a list of developments to be approved for the area in recent times. Planit played a critical role on the Development Approval for a Material Change of Use, which facilitated in the construction of the giant supermarket retailer’s newest store which will open this weekend.
Planit has assisted ALDI with town planning work for more than 50 stores across the country over the past decade. There was a four-year process from approval to development of the Highfields store. “It is a great outcome for all involved, and the Toowoomba community. We are proud to be consultants for ALDI and look forward to continue to assist them as they continue to grow in the future.” said Planning Expert and Director – Planit Consulting, Bede Emmett.
Planit is pleased to have worked with ALDI and Toowoomba Regional Council to deliver this project, that will see the town of Highfields continue to thrive in a country lifestyle without sacrificing the amenities of urban living.
