Few places enjoy such a strategic location and facilities as the rapidly emerging urban community of Coomera on the Gold Coast. Planit Consulting, engaged in the master planning of four large residential estates on the eastern side of the motorway, continues to play a key role in its rise.

Once again, design, planning, landscape and environmental disciplines are being maximised to deliver supremely liveable, distinct and integrated neighbourhoods.

The amalgamation of Planit’s disciplines enables consultants to work efficiently to deliver these projects, as well as respond rapidly to client and Council issues.

Planit’s specific skill sets continue to play an important role in the future shape of the communities slated to fill the small allotments and cane fields that occupied the area.

Having conducted extensive environmental surveying and planning over the majority of the land east of the highway in the Coomera precinct, Planit has access to sound scientific data to address individual site issues and the ability to confidently speak on flora and fauna issues at a sub-regional level.  This is becoming an increasingly important role in the planning process, given the elevation of koalas to ‘vulnerable’ status in south-east Queensland.

The integrated open space and landscape treatments developed by Planit will dominate the Coomera locality.  While it is always a challenge to deliver uniqueness and diversity for individual projects, as a result of its vast work across the locality Planit is able to tie elements across projects, delivering a coherent network of spaces which define the character of the area.
